Medical & Doctor Verification Disclaimer
Explains the boundary between platform functions, doctor responsibility, verified badges, public content and teleconsultation limits.

1. No emergency service
HelloDoctor is not a hospital, emergency department, ambulance service, ICU, diagnostic centre, pharmacy or physical treatment facility. For severe chest pain, breathing difficulty, unconsciousness, stroke-like symptoms, seizure, severe bleeding or injury, poisoning, pregnancy emergency, serious allergic reaction, immediate self-harm/violence risk or any other life-threatening condition, seek urgent in-person care and do not wait for the Platform.
2. Platform and clinical responsibility
HelloDoctor Network facilitates doctor discovery, profile/post hosting and appointment requests. A Network Doctor is an independent professional and becomes responsible for clinical care when accepting and treating a patient. In a HelloDoctor-managed Online Consultation, HelloDoctor manages the technology and operational process; the consulting doctor is directly responsible for clinical advice, prescription, referral and professional judgment.
3. What the verified badge means
A badge records a reasonable match, at the review date, between submitted BMDC registration/identity data and selected information in the available official BMDC record. It is not BMDC endorsement and does not guarantee every degree, specialty, workplace, chamber, fee, availability, competence, conduct, treatment quality or outcome. Patients may re-check the BMDC number and should report discrepancies; HelloDoctor will reasonably investigate.
4. Doctor-supplied information
Unless expressly marked as verified, qualifications, training, experience, specialty, workplace, chamber, schedule, fee, biography and posts may be self-declared by the doctor. Submitting false or forged information is the submitter's responsibility, while HelloDoctor retains its own obligations to use reasonable checks, respond to reports and remove unsafe or misleading material.
5. General content and social interaction
Health posts, tips, public comments and automated or AI-assisted replies are general education, not personal diagnosis, prescription or treatment. Engagement counts, views, follows, search rank and paid promotion are not clinical endorsements.
6. Online consultation limits
Chat, audio or video may not permit physical examination. The doctor may require more information, video identity confirmation, tests, in-person examination, specialist review or hospital care, and may decline to diagnose or prescribe online. No specific diagnosis, prescription, recovery, cure, response time or outcome is guaranteed.
7. User information and follow-up
Clinical advice depends on accurate and timely information. The patient or caregiver must disclose relevant symptoms, history, medicines and allergies; report deterioration; follow urgent referral advice; and not use another person's prescription. Follow-up is limited by the stated period, doctor availability and clinical suitability.
8. Lawful limits
Nothing in this Disclaimer removes professional duties of a doctor or consumer, privacy, negligence, fraud or other responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. It must be read with the Terms, Privacy Policy and Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.
